PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
In steelmaking, it is used as deoxidizer and alloy additive, and is the most used ferroalloy. Manganese ore for smelting ferromanganese generally requires a manganese content of 30-40%, a manganese iron ratio of more than 7, and a phosphorus manganese ratio of less than 0.003. Before smelting, manganese carbonate ore shall be calcined and fine ore shall be agglomerated through sintering. Generally, ores with high iron and phosphorus content can only be used together, or manganese rich slag with low iron and low phosphorus can be obtained by selective reduction. Coke is used as reducing agent in smelting, and some plants also use lean coal or anthracite. The auxiliary raw material is mainly lime, and silica is generally added when smelting manganese silicon alloy.
