INTRODUCTION

Silicon calcium alloy is a composite alloy composed of silicon, calcium and iron, which is an ideal composite deoxidizer and desulfurizer. It is widely used in the production of high-quality steel, low carbon steel, stainless steel and other steel grades and special alloys such as nickel base alloy and titanium base alloy; It is suitable to be used as a temperature increasing agent in converter refining workshop; It can also be used as inoculant of cast iron and additive in the production of nodular cast iron. From about 1907, silicon calcium alloy was produced by electric silicothermic method.
